Let it Snow!

Can you find the driveway or the road?
Can you believe it...? For once, the weatherman was right...well for the most part. It did snow here today, but not the 6 inches he was calling for. The last time is snowed this much was in 2004 as far as we can remember. Raeanne was only 4 and she does remember getting out in it. This is the first time Reagan has ever been able to play in the snow. She saw snow for the first time back in November when we had just a few flurries. This time she had a nice time out in it, until her pants leg got wet and she got cold. She was ready to go back in then! What a nice way to spend the day...! We really enjoy seeing them play together as sisters!

School

So I think I have about 15 more weeks of school. Our class president didn't come back this semester so now there is only 5 of us. We do some really cool stuff during our Saturday Clinic time right now. Here is a picture of my class with Philip being in the cooker, I mean Russian Steam Bath...

Panthers Party

We are viewing the Panthers game tonight from the luxury seats....our living room! We decided to have Aunt Betty and Uncle Barry over (who are from Charlotte) to watch the game and the girls are really getting into it...I think our cousin Matt is too. He is in Charlotte and has called wanting to know where the blender was...hhhmmm?




So now that we have our cheerleaders in training...I hope the Panthers can pull it out. Score is 17 / 7...Not in our favor... All in all we are havng a great time watching the game together. It may be the last game this season...

Whose Clothes Are They Anyway?

Mike took this picture of Reagan tonight while I was at school. So what is so special about this picture you ask? Well....Those are Raeanne's capris. They look like cropped pants on Reagan. They fit in the waist... Also notice the fashionable pink flip flops. Mike said Raeanne was rather ticked!

Back to the Books

Tonight is the night that I start back to class. I checked my class schedule earlier today and out of 9 students that started this program with us in the Fall, there are only 5 signed up to come back. I have a feeling that one of the girls just hasn't registered for this semester yet. (Kimberly, you are our class president & resident mother figure...you have to come back!) So maybe there will be 6 in the class before all is said and done.

This semester I'm taking my last 2 massage classes (MTH 120 and 125) and Pathophysiology (Bio 271). 16 more weeks and I will be finished and will graduate with a massage thereapy degree! ( Can I get a "Whoo Hoo"?) My classes are on Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30 - 9:20 and Saturday's from 8:00 - 4:20. I'm really looking forward to finishing and I hope I do finish with good grades. (Last semester I made an "A" in Anatomy / Physiology and a "B" in Massage 110) I hope to sit for my National Board / State License Test in June.

Another way to look at it.... in 16 weeks, I will be able to have a life again! I have really gotten spoiled over the break. It was nice not to have class to go to or a project to complete...or muscles to learn (well...actually I was SUPPOSE to study some more muscels...I just didn't get around to it.) Yes....I Really Should Have Something Better To Do...

We Did Survive The Holidays!

Most of you knew that our family made the trek to Disney this year as part of our Christmas. This picture was taken the night of the "Very Merry Christmas Party" but honestly, it didn't seem "Very Merry". To start with, I think they over-sold the tickets to the event. It was soo crowded. A couple of years ago when Mike and I went by ourselves, we had a great time, and there were people, but not like this time. Also, did I mention that it was much colder this year in November than in years past? Anyway, we didn't get to see any of the special Christmas Shows because we were holding a spot on Main Street to see the Parade. We did get some of the "free" Hot Chocolate and Cookies though. After the parade, the kids were exhausted so we headed back to the room.


Here is a picture of the entire gang that went. What fun to take a family vacation with both sets of parents AND a nephew! We really did have a great time despite the cold temperatures. We ate really good this time too. We did the Disney Dinning Plan...it kept my dad from eating nabs the entire week! (That a another story for another day!)

Mike and I love Disney and wish we could go every year. Maybe we can go every-other year instead. Mike has never been on a cruise and we may try to do a Disney Land / Sea adventure when Reagan is older. I think that would be a blast. (It will take us several years to save up for that!)

...I Really Should Have Something Better To Do...And So Should You...

I really should have something better to do...And I honestly think you would have something better to do than to read my blog about what is going on in the Dixon Family. Anyway, I have had several people ask me to start Blogging (Lori) and after giving it some thought...and reading several blogs myself on daily basis, I decided to give it a shot. I guess this would be a good way for everyone to keep up with what is going on in the Dixon household. I'll try to make it interesting...and give you something worth reading. I might even print it out one day and give to my kids as a book... "Look kids, when your mom was younger, she didn't work very hard and had time to write down stuff no body else cared to read..." Yeah, that will be a conversation for another day.. until then...
